Steps to create the Cinemagraph:
Dupicate mp4 layer > select timeline > rasterize it later
Select mask > overlay > draw around the area moving > invert layer
Shorter the mask layers starting and ending points
Image editing:
select the levels of the mask layer and adjust the amount of blue mainly, as well as some of the yellows and greens in the shadows.
I also adjusted the level of red, but I think I should of done that for the original layer with the coffee moving, because it would of been a nice contrast of warm and cold colours. In addition I could of added a warm steamy glow effect above the coffee to make it contrast more to the level changes. Something small like a airbrush over with a gradient, change in opacity and maybe a multiply, lighter or colour dodge effect (which either looked best).
I then also adjusted the ‘Curves’ graph to darken the image, circle selected and then inverted that selection. Added a fairly high Gaussian blur and we get a nice little vignette.
